UPDATED EQUIPMENT QUALITY
AND 70 YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

RG Rettifiche Genovesi has always kept its equipment up-to-date, to ensure a top quality standard, from the first manual Hunger to PEG motorized grinding, up to the bench for seat grinding.
Today in 2020 our company has made a leap forward with the self-centering seat grinding machine with millesimal precision for every type of valve seat, from motorcycles to boats or truck valve seats.
Quality has a price and we offer the best service and 70 years of experience at a fair price.
The grinding of the seats must guarantee maximum tightness in the compression phase, so that combustion in the combustion chamber is efficient. For this reason, in addition to the precision machinery, we check the tightness of the valves with the digital vacuum gauge, which must be between 0.7 and 1 bar of depression. Our seat grinding machine uses a pilot tool which, inserted in the replaced guide, electronically centers itself as if it were a valve and without touching the walls, it rotates perfectly reaming the valve seat, both from the surface aspect and from that of the three corners, which must be suitable for the inlet and outlet of the intake and exhaust gases, without creating any friction or vortex. The seal is guaranteed by the plane of the seat with that of the valve, which is usually replaced new or rectified.
It is very important to also replace the guides which, if too worn, do not guarantee sealing and alignment. In addition to this, with the washing and then the sandblasting of the ducts, a constant and clean flow is possible.
Above the guides, the valve seals will also be replaced which ensure the sealing and lubrication of the valve stem with the oil that is located in the upper chamber, separated from the lower ducts. Any oil leakage would cause consumption and infiltration of deposits, as well as smoke from the exhaust or muffler.
